Appliances

All units must be new, ENERGY STAR rated and installed at member's location. Subject to inspection by Prairie Energy Cooperative. Maximum of $250 per residential/farm account per year for all appliance incentives. The Cooperative now offers rebates for Energy Star dryers.  

Rebate Form

Water Heating
  • Rebate for tank-type water heaters only;no tankless water heaters
  • Minimum energy factor =.90
  • Members can receive discounted price - must agree to load management program.

Central Air Conditioning
  • Single-family residences: maximum two units per year per structure. Multi-family residences: maximum one unit per year per structure.
  • Rebate application along with required documentation must be submitted within 6 months of purchase. 
  • Please call the office for more information on air conditioning rebates.

Heating & Cooling
  • Air Source Heat Pump - Two units maximum per single-family dwelling or outbuilding. One rebate maximum per family in multi-family dwelling.
  • Geothermal Heat Pump - Must be ENERGY STAR rates or a minimum of EER 14 and COP 3.3. 20-ton maximum per structure without prior approval. $50/unit bonus if installed with a desuperheater.

New or existing home can qualify.

Resistance Heat

For all new resistance electric heat installed, including backup added to heat pumps. Must be 240-volt or hard-wired/mounted heater.

Insulation & Weatherization

All insulation must increase ceiling to R38, wall to R19, or foundation to R10; radiant barriers not eligible. 

Insulation details:

  • 40% of materials cost up to $600 max/year for homes with metered electric heat (with or without central air condition) 
  • 20% of materials cost up to $300 max/year for homes with non-electric heat and central air conditioning
  • No incentive available for homes with non-electric heat and no central air conditioning

Weatherization and duct insulation details:

  • 40% of materials cost up to $200 max/year for homes with metered electric heat (with or without central air conditioning)
  • 20% of materials cost up to $100 max/year for homes with non-electric heat and central air conditioning
  • No incentive available for homes with non-electric heat and no central air conditioning 

Rebate Form

Residential Lighting
  • Only replacement bulbs and fixtures in existing buildings are eligible for rebate. Bulbs and fixtures installed in new construction are not. 
  • Up to $2/LED bulb
  • Up to $6/LED fixture
  • Rebates for LED security lights, up to $30
  • $2/string holiday lighting rebate

Commercial, Industrial & Agricultural Lighting
  • Rebates for retrofit bulbs & fixtures only 
  • Rebate up to 50% of cost

Touchstone Energy Home
  • Bonus rebate for new home or complete remodel
  • Single family home

Two Options:

  • $500 rebate for completion of required checklist
  • $1000 rebate for HERS rated 

Rebate Form

Electric Vehicle Level 2 Charger
  • 50% of a level 2 charger up to $500.
  • 3 charger maximum per household.
  • Charger installation is subject to inspection by Prairie Energy Cooperative.
