Prairie Energy Cooperative (PECO) headquartered in Clarion, Iowa, is a member-owned, not-for-profit rural electric distribution cooperative. PECO provides reliable, affordable energy to businesses and industries, farms and homes throughout north-central Iowa. PECO is owned and controlled by the rural members we serve. The Cooperative is governed by seven board of directors elected by the member-owners. Prairie Energy serves over 4,100 member-owners with 2,076 miles of line in over 11 counties with 27 employees between our Clarion headquarters and Garner service center locations.
