Scholarships available$1,000 Basin Electric Power Cooperative Scholarship 

Dependents of members of Prairie Energy Cooperative are eligible. Applicants must be students enrolled or planning to enroll in full time undergraduate or graduate courses of study an accredited, two-year or four-year colleges, universities, or vocational/technical schools.The scholarship is awarded without regards to other awards, loans, or financial assistance the applicant may have obtained. It is awarded based on academic excellence, work experience, school and community activities, and a recommendation by a third party. Deadline for this scholarship was February 1, 2018. 

$500 Electrical Tech & Powerline Scholarship

Corn Belt Power Cooperative partners with Northwest Iowa Community College(link is external) in Sheldon, Iowa, to offer four separate $500 scholarships. Recipients may be either first or second year students at Northwest Iowa Community College studying in the programs of Electrical Technology, Powerline or Powerline Technology. Students must maintain a 2.5 minimum GPA. Applications must be filed with Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation by March each year. $500 Wind Energy & Turbine Technology Scholarship

Corn Belt Power partners with Iowa Lakes Community College(link is external) to offer one $500 scholarship. To qualify, the recipient must be enrolled in the Wind Energy and Turbine Technology program; a first or second year student at Iowa Lakes Community College; maintain 2.5 minimum GPA, and be an Iowa resident.
